“The legendary Beaux Arts Trio is one of the longest active piano trios of all time. Holding together by its constant in the person of Menahem Pressler, the trio worked over 5 decades until its dissolution in 2008

During this time, the trio recorded Pressler exclusively for Philips around 2015, when he was awarded the Echo for his life’s work. Among other things, this resulted in recordings of the complete piano trio cycles of Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn, which DECCA is now releasing for the first time as separate complete recordings in three impressive sets

DECCA thus honours the trio that has shaped the classical world like no other and set new standards in interpretation and recording technology. It is hardly surprising, then, that the trio have received countless prizes and awards during their career of more than half a century, including the Prix Mondial du Disque, three Grand Prix du Disques, Union de la Presse Musicale Belge Caecilia Award, Gramophone Record of the Year and Stereo Review Record of the Year Award
